Milestone to Manhood is about a once-in-a-lifetime weekend designed to mark a boy’s entrance into manhood. The purpose of the weekend is to give the boy advice about what it really means to be a man, instead of letting him “figure it out” on his own through his peers, the TV, or the internet. The weekend involves not just the boy’s father and grandfather, but also the other male role models in his life as well, like uncles, older brothers, and older cousins. This coming-of-age ceremony is called his Rite of Passage.
We wrote this book specifically for dads, because fathers play a crucial role in the lives of their children. Young men desperately need the attention of their fathers, because one way that young men find their masculine identity is by observing how other men treat them. If other men respect them—especially their fathers—then they believe that they must be worthy of respect. Sadly, the opposite is true as well. If other men do not respect them, it’s easy for them to believe that they are not worthy of respect.
Why does this respect need to come from a boy’s father? Because you are his primary male role model. You are the provider, you are the enforcer, you are the protector. You are the man that goes out of the house every day to face the world and fight dragons. You are strong, have a deep voice, and can grow hair on your face. As a twelve-year-old boy, when someone like that respects you, you respect yourself more.
During the all-important transition from boyhood to manhood, a boy’s father plays a crucial and irreplaceable role. To put it bluntly, it takes a man to make a man.
This book is for fathers of pre-teenage sons who want to mark their son’s entrance into manhood in a special way. It’s for fathers who do not want their sons to spend their teens and twenties wondering when manhood is finally going to kick in. It’s for fathers who want to play an active role in their sons’ lives and who are willing to take risks.
Do you have a son or grandson about to turn thirteen? Are you looking to do something memorable for this birthday, to mark his entrance into manhood in a special way? Check out our new book Milestone to Manhood on Amazon here.

The post reflects on who the book is meant for and how it speaks to people thinking about growth, responsibility, and personal direction in life. It made me think of how certain books feel like they arrive at the right time when you are trying to figure yourself out. I remember feeling unsure about my future during exam season and reading similar reflective content. While exploring study resources, I once came across a cheap business management dissertation service while learning how structured ideas are presented in academic writing. It shows how guidance can help turn confusion into clearer understanding.
